Cover Letter Substitutions

Merge Producer & Account Manager into RFP cover letters

What Changed?

The RFP cover letter editor's {} merge-field dropdown gains four new fields — so cover letters can sign with the Producer's name and email, or address the Account Manager directly.

The existing “Benefit Primary Contact” field is also renamed to “RFP Owner” so the dropdown matches the labels on the RFP Contacts screen.

How It Works

Four New Merge Fields

Open the cover letter template editor, click the {} dropdown, and you'll now see:

Producer Producer Email Account Manager Account Manager Email

When the RFP sends, each field resolves to the person assigned in RFP Contacts → Producer or Account Manager.

“Benefit Primary Contact” → “RFP Owner”

The old Benefit Primary Contact / Benefit Primary Contact Email fields are now labeled RFP Owner / RFP Owner Email. Same person, clearer name — it matches the “RFP Owner” dropdown on the RFP Contacts screen.

Existing Cover Letters Are Safe

The rename is label-only. Cover letters you've already saved keep working exactly as before — nothing needs to be re-done.
